To be seen by men, or God?

Good day fellow people. I pray that your day has been really well and not as burdensome but in love, patience, and kindness. I was just thinking about the Lord’s Prayer and wanted to write a little study on it to see some fresh manna that comes from it for today. If you don’t have your bible, I will paste it down so we can examine it. The reason is, is developing a stronger prayer life with the Father, and in essence a stronger level of sensitivity to God and what he wants on this earth through us. Matthew Chapter 6 has an unbelievable scene and transitory position that Jesus was in as he addressed about “Who we are trying to please” and gives a model to prayer unto God. So Matthew Chapter 6:

First the scenario and the people that Jesus was addressing:

·      And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. 24 Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.
·          25 Great multitudes followed Him—from Galilee, and from Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan. Matthew 4: 23-25

This begins the Sermon on the Mount where Jesus begins teaching the multitudes and exhortation unto them into the new foundations of relationship with God, now through his son. This sermon is the example of all sermons. It wasn’t a mere hour and half, three day revival. These people came from numerous parts of the world with a level of faith that was missing since the prophets of old. Being it had been almost 400 years without a word of the Lord, and the new openings of teachings from John the Baptist. After addressing the people and explaining to them who were blessed in the Beatitudes he tells the people “You are the Salt of the Earth, the Light of the World, to affirm them in where they were in the perspective of God at this point. A majority of what they knew of God was an angry God who struck down people. A God of Miracles, signs and wonders, and a God of tough love for his people. So Jesus immediately changes the relationship of how they are even addressed.

To be seen by men, or God?

·          1 “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. (Matthew  6:1-2)

Do we sound a trumpet before us? I think this is the phenomena of the modern world is to get people to believe in what we do for in self glory, rather than what we do in servantude. It is called Advertisement, self-promotion. We advertise everything to be seen by man in hopes of attracting people unto what we have done. We hype what we believe is the most revolutionary idea in the world or competitive tool that will make people’s life better. We are all guilty. Companies do so to get the word out about a product, or a movie preview for people to be hyped at what they may see. Intercessors can pray loud, long, and well crafted prayers with a good amount of confidence behind it. But was it for God that you release youself in public or are we advertising ourselves in the name of God, Is the subliminal layer underneath the roar of the gifts, the need for acceptance within a group of people?  Have you noticed what people do to fit in? Or whom they may be around so that they feel accepted and not rejected. When you were in grade school and maybe were poked fun at by many other people. Have you ever thought that maybe they really didn’t feel that way about you? Maybe one did, but the others did it as well to feel accepted within a group and not to be ostracized with you instead. This is one of the signs Jesus was pointing out about the hypocrites. They care not about pleasing God when they are doing a deed. They care more about people seeing them doing the deed so people may believe they are someone of a good rapport. Many people do it even churches, these people are called the benefactors. They give so much money to the churches and want to stand in the pews when the sermons are going on so people know. Hey look, I am a person that loves this place so much by how much I give; I want to make sure that you know it. This is one of the marks of a man Jesus identifies as a hypocrite. It’s all about them, not about the purpose of the giving which is of a servant. This is also the hireling. One who does not care for the sheep but is paid by the sheep. We should  all serve in stewardship that the fathers business is taken care of if we or seen or not. So Jesus was very clear that trying to please God by what you do so the people can see what you do is wrong. This can be a question in to most Christian TV advertisement as well. Do we have to always prove to the world by our commercials and statistics that we are doing well or shouldn’t the work they we do do come from the testimony of men.Jesus said:

12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.Matthew 23:12

So Jesus counter attacks this issue and says:

  • 3 But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly. (Matthew 6:3-4)

Whoa! Now this is a hitter that I believe is so wonderful to know. If I am looking for God to move in my life or waiting to see him do mighty things in my life this it what it says to look for. It literally says in verse 4 that “He himself will reward you openly.” So, if for anything I have done in secret that was unto him, and that I am reminded of in my spirit when it comes. Then, I can be assure that this that I am receiving is from GOD himself. Therefore, giving me confidence that in all that I do in secret unto him all that I recieve in goodness back is by faith and works that he will give it back accordingly. Hallelujah. This maybe a key to some block to God answering our prayers when we believe he is not, maybe the thirst for wanting to be seen is hindering us. So, Jesus after powerfully teaching them now tells them how to pray now with a more sincere prayer:

5  “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.[b] 7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. 8 “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.

9 In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

10 Your kingdom come.  Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.

13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.[c]

14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

For a more detailed look line by line:

 (9) In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

32 You shall not profane My holy name, but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel. I am the LORD who sanctifies you,
Leviticus 22:32 (New King James Version)

In prayer, we should be reminded when seeking the holiness of God and the righteousness of his Judgments for our lives that we need an adjustment of himeself to always solve our problems. Because, if we think about it, the holiness of God and the righteousness of his judgments is the solutions for our problems. When we present ourselves as vessels of God’s making here on this earth we have to address it continually in worship to him. By no means can we as a “striving to be holy people” speak to a holy God as if he is a cheap imitation from the Dollar Store, he can’t be bought. A person who comes before God with the heart of acknowledgement of one’s short comings prepares you in humility with the understanding of no equality in the purity of our workings against the standard of his requirements. In sincerity, praying with this in mind sets us before his throne on our knees in prayer and in spirit humbling ourselves to a holy, righteous and just God. We need his mercy and compassion daily.

(10) Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

8 And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. 9 According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it. (Exodus 25:8-9)

In prayer, we should also understand that the manifestation of what God has already done and what he is using us to perform is according to the example that he has in heaven. In the Old Testament, God instructed Moses to build a tabernacle unto him in this world. This is a building that priests served and altars were constructed to minister to God. In the New Testament, our bodies are a temple for the Holy Spirit. (1 Cor 6:19) Therefore, what God wants to establish in the earth he first is going to establish in you, and then through you. Just as he showed Moses an example from heaven he has now placed another one for a new covenant. He gave us Jesus as an example, from heaven, and showed us what he wanted us to mimic to be unto him as a holy people. This is the Kingdom come and the citizens thereof of people seeing the example, being the example, and living in the product.

 (11) Give us this day our daily bread.

33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. John 6:33   35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. John 6:35

In prayer, we must remember that because Jesus has set us free, we must take upon him everyday of our lives to continually be rejuvenated spiritually from him in life. The Israelites ate manna 40 years straight everyday till they came out of the wilderness. Now, we are out of the wilderness and we have to thirst for the knowledge and grace of Christ everyday to overcome the wiles of the world and the snare of death. A prayer with Jesus in you is a sincere prayer knowing that all is provided for and all has been given from God, as it was his son. This also reveals a sense of humility of even Jesus himself, that though being the son of God he still was under authority by the creator of all. Who was Jesus’ father, God himself.

(12) And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors

  • 34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. Luke 23:34

In prayer, this is one of the most powerful things you can do. Is to forgive someone. I don’t know of anyone in this world that does not need to be forgiven and in the eyes of God we all need to ask for forgiveness. If you pray with the confidence that I am always right and they were wrong. It will dim the light of presenting yourself humble unto the Father. Why? Who are you to believe that all you do is right and what they always do is wrong? We are not God. Neither can we understand everything that we do right in our own eyes unless we weigh it against the requirements of his word. When you forgive someone you open the door for love to come through you in the redemption of fellowship. Every time trespass occurs there is a breaking of fellowship, of trust, of love, of friendship. Between believers God doesn’t want that because “Perfect love, casteth out all fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18 When we forgive we are showing the characteristics of being forgiven unto God as the spirit of God forgives them through us.

(13) And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.[c]

   James 1:13-14
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

In prayer, as we end our communication with the Father, we need to understand that it is ourselves that Satan capitalizes on to draw us into himself. In Romans chapter 1, it also states that the judgments of God upon those of an abase mind is that he “gives them over unto their lusts.” When you pray to God, we have to fervently desire his spirit to lift us above our own selves. We need all of the Holy Spirit to live, in marriage, with kids, at work, at church, in the public. Because without it you’re as of the world yet:  (29) If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him (1 John 2:29.) So in as much the world’s saying “You got yourself into it, now get yourself out.” We as Christians need to believe our flesh is trying to keep us in it but, I need God always to deliver me out of it, and without a doubt he will. Look at what God says unto David. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. Psalm 34:19.  That’s good news and assurity that we can all remember. The Lord will deliver us from all things but the requirement is to be, righteous. In conclusion, I myself as sure as all of you want the full amount of Christ in our lives so we can live with him and have communication with the Father. I believe in all faith that the more we continue to seek him, he will reward us with his fullness. He said he would. So unto another day, more prayer, more worship, and dire for the things of the Lord for his will. Thanks for reading and please keep the light of Christ bright.

Strawberries or Apricots: Christ’s image or a Graven image?

When you look at yourself what do you see? What is it about what you see in the mirror that makes you happy? Is it the curve of your nose or the way God has finely crafted your eyes. Are you happy with the hair that he gave you or the smile he has purposely created upon you. I think if we take time to be encouraged by the special and unique way God has crafted all of us we can just smile. We can come to understand that there is no one on the face of this earth that is exactly like you(me). I am unique.

I believe many people are unhappy with who they are in life. If you look at T.V or magazines you see millions of people around the world who suffer from…”I don’t like how God has made for me” syndrome. I have a big nose. My eyebrows are too thick. My lips are too big. My butt is too small. I’m too Fat. I’m so skinny. The celebrities who grace the cover of magazines and movies purposefully change how God has created to fit the “image” for the media. For a job. For the job that you work at, say it was Mcdonald’s or a YMCA would you get plastic surgery for that? If that is what you call conforming to leadership by changing your appearance what is the reason for the building of charachter? All of these arrogant perceptions places us in a category of hating ourselves for the way we are born and coveting an image that was not designed for us. You were designed in love, every last one of us even animals and plants as well. He(God) has made each person according to purpose and position and every thing has something that makes it special. Some people are born to be football players: bulky and braun. Some are born scientists: inquisitive and loners. King David states, “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.” (Psalms 139:14)

Looks does not gurantee that you will get the job you always wanted. Looks does not guarantee that you will find the right husband/wife. Looks does not mean everything in your life will be joyful and easy to walk through. We have, as a world, come so far from the principles of success that it is a shame. For example: Do you think a church is succesful in pleasing God by allowing homosexuals to marry and to preach from his pulpits. If his judgement (Romans 1:18 – 2:16) was architected before every church ever began and yet it is not matched by his instruction. That kinda dwindles the authority our churches may have standing against the gates of hell? Are we all reading the same version? It’s like teaching on how to avoid giving the devil a legal hold with an advertisement of playboy magazines in the auditorium. Not only will we have an unbalance in following instructions but, how can we teach someone who questions in thier spirit as well what was written in the bible we use. How can we teach someone to keep a clear conscience when we as a body have so many elements that are subject to conviction? God told the Israelites before the Exodus “eat all of the lamb” and that lamb is Christ. So, if we eat all of his words and not try to be slick being selective I think that God would be more pleased with our obedience than comprimisation. It is about the feeding the sheep, and if we as a body purify the body by edification how clean are we if we intentionally miss a spot. All I know is the devil can quote scriptures too. (Matthew 4)

Did you know that there are third world countires who are happy to have refreshing water to drink. There are certain cultures in the world that still have to boil their water over a fire for bathwater for their child. There are tons of economic hardships that have suffered for decades and some are eager for a chance of freedom as America. Compared to america, who is coined as the most powerful country in the world. However, economy success and certain aspects of liberation by man can still be evil in accordance to the standard of God. Are we not judged by Jesus? An Image if you look on Flickr is a still shot of life and history however, they are not a continual testimony of where you are spiritually and where you are going eternally.
Did you know that when Jesus resurrected from death that he still bore the same scars as he had before he died? Yet he was a man of eternal life who conquered Death and Hades. In Isaiah 53, it comments that he was not something we should desire. Not a comely form, at all. That the Apostle Paul, being both a powerful speaker and revelator, was a short man who did not have much hair on his head. His hands and body were mightily scarred. Once bitten by a snake and his back bore scars from 39 lashes he received five times. That the early Christians that suffered persuction were brutally beat and tortured. The martyrs of Christ had no care for how they looked they had one goal in their lives “I want to be with Jesus.” Where are we as a Christian society? Jesus, I want to be with you if you allow me to make a mockery of your word. Lord, I want you to give me what I need if you allow all my time to be all about myself. God, I want you to remove all my enemies and allow me to love only those who love me. Oh, precious people does the integrity of success depend on the level of your own personal intrepretation of holiness. You can’t look holy on the outside and be hellish on the inside. That makes you an angel of light, the man of sin that will be “revealed.” You have to be holy on the inside till it permeates your thoughts and being and manifests in life.

What was the travel like back in the day? A majority of the distances that people traveled they traveled by foot, donkey, camel, or horse. There wasn’t a gas station every 2 miles. If they traveled by animal they had to feed and water it. The places they went to according to the animal they traveled upon had to have the correct resources to replenish it. The climate that they were in also affected the outcome of the distance as well. So a camel back in the past would be compared to a hybrid for us now. So even if you had a date or family. It’s not like it was plush seating with a visor mirror to make sure your make up was good. There were not heated seats and a defroster in case it was foggy in some areas. It was the back of a animal. There shoes were not Air max 920’s with memory foam insoles. They wore scandals. They didn’t have Rocawear or Sean john. Levi’s or south pole jeans. The greatest prophet born of a woman wore camel’s skin and ate locusts (John the Baptist.) A decent meal for us would include: meat, vegetable, bread, desert, and drink. These people did according to what they had. However, they were content in what they were given to perform that in which they needed to do. No matter how they looked. Where am I going with this? We have so many helpers in life by technolgy that can be an excuse for lack of determination. We have so many people that have churches that are glamoured in technology and events, yet the people rarely read the bible. They rarely pray at home. They don’t carry the spirit of life from the pastor into their living room. It’s just entertainment. Did Peter have the audio version of the Old testament in three different languages? Did James get “camel knees” praying on plush carpeting and sitting on newly furnished pews? Did John the Baptist pray in a secret closet? He came out of the wilderness and became a havoc on the throne of darkness. We should not have mindsets that God justs gives double portions of manna like every tommorow is a day of rest. We only dwindle down the true thirst for God and righteousness that preparred the New Testament. They didn’t have a word from the Lord for almost 400 years.

So what image REALLY matters?
Looking like you have money – But being in debt!
Having a lot in your possession but, not a lot paid for?
Spending so much on your look – Yet, you’re a bitter and depressed person?
Wasting your gift of love, purity, and commitment with someone that is not your wife/husband.
Having a need for all the ammenities of comfortability or a thirst for the source?
Would you rather prefer an affirmation of your outer beauty or a respect for the inner person?
This leads to a statement God tries to prove to us:

What really counts the most is who you are. You were born a child of God, therefore, your character must represent that of which you were born. The only person in the world that we really need to please is God and meeting the requirements of Jesus. Everything else is just backwash. If you had an image of a superstar you have to fear of becoming a fad like all superstars. Yet, when you reach to please God, there is never a fear of fad because his perfect love casts out all fear. Truly

Where is the world in their respect for God (Galatians 5:19-21.)
Can you honor the Lord with:
Sexual Immorality – Sex outside or before marriage physically and mentally (Adultery by the eyes)
Impurity – a defiled heart, sinful thoughts
Depravity – Corrupted state of being
Idolatry – Any place, person, or object you believe in that’s not God
Sorcery – use of magic or demons; manipulation, control, seduction
Hostilities – opposition or resistance to an idea, plan, project, etc. Acts of warfare
Strife – a quarrel, struggle, or clash: Competition or rivalry
Jealousy – resentment against a rival, a person enjoying success or advantage; suspicion
Outburst of Anger – Impatience, Pinned up Frustration, Passivity, Arrogance, Pride
Selfish rivalries – Competition; Pride
Dissensions – strong disagreement; a contention or quarrel; discord
Factions – Conflict within an organization or nation; internal ; minority within larger group
Envying – a feeling of discontent or covetousness with regard to another’s advantages, success, possessions, etc.
Murder – To kill someone
Drunkenness – intoxicated; drunk
Carousing – to drink deeply and frequently.

These things keep us from stability in our lives and a peaceful heart. Which is, the Lord Jesus Christ operating through us daily. Every time we give way to something from the list above. It is like we are throwing blankets, quilts, paint, and dust all over the brightness of his (Jesus) being inside of our hearts. Life in the spirit cannot come out of you and do signs and wonders through you, if you don’t do the work to let him out of you. As Paul says “I die daily” (1 Corinthians 15:31). What does this mean? When you die to your life you ressurect the strength to be committed to the will of God.

Every day in the ancient cities of Greece that we read about in history. Was the same like it was today with the many pressures of life to distract you from God. The Apostle Paul, a sent vessel of the Lord, had to deal with the issues and predicaments just like we do: Prostitutes, pimps, psychics, ignorance, prideful people, politicians, crooks, and just plain ol’ Satan. Do you think he became an Apostle fitting in with everyone else? Do you think he became a New Testament Apostle being bitter at the people like the Old Testament prophets, being now filled with the Holy spirit. Paul was able to live his life for God with power from the holy spirit and grace enough to demonstrate it to ignorant people with unconditional love. See, now there is a difference image of God through his son the Christ.

So what you go through in life daily is nothing new under the sun predicaments weren’t specifically invented for you. It’s a cycle that all of God’s people (Whether salvation has come upon you already or in it’s timing) must go through to overcome. Yet a world that presses against you from every side is not defeated by your natural anger, physical stregnth, intimidation, or money. It’s subjected by peace, endurance, and love of Christ through you. This is the Jesus who conquered this world with his love. Therefore, it is no way we can become who we are called to be in God without taking off our costume to fit in with the world. The living world without God is death.

What is evidence in your life that Jesus operates through you in this dark world?

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, (23) gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

To further break it down to apply it to our lives.

Love – Knowledge and Application of God in our self, people, and environments.
Joy – a state of happiness or felicity.; Seeing the Lord moving and working in your life
Peace – a state of tranquility or serenity; Confidence and trust in God
Kindness – the state or quality of being kind; Exhorting mercy, compassion and God’s love
Goodness – the state or quality of being good; Being who Jesus was
Faithfulness – true to one’s word, promises, vows, etc
Gentleness – not severe, rough, or violent; mild
Patience – an ability or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance when confronted with delay
Self Control – control or restraint of oneself or one’s actions, feelings, etc

—When you begin to apply the grace and knowledge of Jesus in your life. You become as he was, a vessel of life and love to give. The fruit of the Spirit which encompasses you and becomes who you are reorders your life to an overcomer, and not defeated by daily battles. What people will start to see from you is not a form that is fashioned by clothes, cars, or makeup. They see a person with the state of love that comes from the spirit. They see a person with the true heart for people and a love for the most important person in life, God.

Come hear, Come see, and Come Dine

The background behind “Come Hear, Come see, and Come Dine” comes from three different foundations that I believe God opened for relationship unto his people throughout the entire bible. To learn of his ways and be salvaged from a dying world by the eternal life that he now gives through his Son. If you have some time to read and or receive please by no means be shy. I believe this is more of a study and exhortation than teaching.

In the beginning it was “Come and hear” what God is saying, has said, and what God was doing. If you turn to Genesis 3: 8-10 The spirit and voice of the Lord was heard by Adam and Eve after they had sinned in the Garden of Eden. The same voice was apparent all through Genesis as God spoke to many people through a audible voice from the sky to make communication with his people. Why? Some theologians call this period of life the “Age of Consciousness” these is where there was a conscious awareness of God. There was not a bible or written word of the inspiration of God. Nor were there many testimonies of man of the works that God did. Before Noah was sparred with the Ark there were many sons of God the bible calls that fell and slept with the daughters of men. (Genesis 6: 2) Who could visualize God? Therefore there are many areas where it says they did what they saw right in there own eyes. However, there weren’t many that by his word moved by faith as Abraham did. That is why he is called the father or faith.

Where does the “Come and See” relationship come from?  Well let’s look further into history of what God did.  As history recalls there were Egyptian kings that did not know of Joseph or the lineage of the Hebrews. Therefore they were soon enslaved by the Egyptians. The bible recalls that the Israelites were enslaved for 430 years and unto them came Moses, the deliverer. Thus we have a new message and communication of God unto his people. God appeared: unto Moses and the Israelites by the burning bush, the miracles of God (Split of Red Sea), the wraths of God (The killing of the First Born), the Ark of the covenant, God speaking to Moses on the mountain, and the Prophets of God. God then made his mark on the world in visual aspects. Thus he was able to have objects, people, environments, and other manifestations to show all people that he was real and he is a jealous God. This period called the “Age of the Law” whereas the commandments of God were given unto Moses and the establishment of the Levitical priesthood for men to usher sacrifices unto God for the atonement of their sins. This was the Old Testament approach of God from Moses all the way unto Malachi. He further used the prophets of God to be men and women that stood and boldly proclaim what God was saying. Others such as Elijah showed manifestation of God through the miracles that he and Elisha did. Why a come and see? Well I believe that the increase of sorceries and witchcrafts that were going on in that day. Even Abraham himself was pulled from the Chaldean tribes which in the Book of the Daniel the Chaldeans were known as the “Enchanters”. How many times before Moses was able to breach the door the Israelites to be freed were some of the miracles duplicated by the magicians? People who erected their own God and called unto their names were making things physically manifest in the world. All through the Old Testament after the book of Genesis are stories of people who in their attempt to duplicate, reach or display a power of God used a demonically influenced method and in exchange of their thirst of fame and power seduced many men into deception.

This reference was more noticeable in the New Testament with the fulfillment of Jesus Christ in what became the “Age of Redemption.” Jesus was the walking manifestation of the Word of God. Many men came with the word of God in their mouths but none fulfilled it  not only God’s intent but with God’s spirit.  He was the son of the almighty God who was sent to redeem us from the law. The bible says that the law made way to justify us unto God and Jesus came and created the grace for God to dwell with us. All that Jesus was: from birth by the word in Creation, promise, prophecy, and presentation was a visual to the world of the character of God in the flesh. He fulfilled all that was spoken of himself (John 12:49), he cherished all that his Father established, and he related unto the people a bridge to allow people to understand whom his Father really was. God, his father, was not someone always destroying everything or drowning the world, but he is a compassionate and merciful Father.

Why did people need to see this aspect of God?

Because of the many people who did not believe.

When Jesus resurrected from the dead there we have the where I believe God was speaking unto the people to “Come and Dine.” When He (Jesus) first makes his appearance back to the disciples in the book of John we see a continuance of what he did before he was captured to be crucified. (John 21:12). They did not recognize him nor would they ever imagine the first words unto them would be “Children, have ye any meat?” (John 21:5) He tells them to come to the shore (They were fishing) to dine with him. This is such the life that we are now called to live. We are to come to the table of the Lord and dine with him upon his body. (Mark 14:51) What is this bread which and why Jesus called the Bread of Life? (John 6:22-40) It is Jesus. Jesus says those who “Come” to him shall never hunger and he who “Believes” shall never thirst.  The partaking of his flesh and blood was the communion with God of the bread of life and the sanctifying blood of the new Covenant. This was established through Christ. This “coming and dining” is such an invitation to anyone God draws unto himself. He wants you to hear him, he wants you to love him, and most of all he wants to dwell in you to manifest his Glory through you. He is all that you will ever need…you just have to “Come and Dine” with him as a Child who fervently believes and loves with a pure heart.

What is the conclusion of it all. Because now we can hear and see and now dine with him. We have a perfect example of how we should live in this world. We have it through Jesus Christ. In your daily walk in life feed upon his bread to enrich your life so you can fulfill all that God has called you to fulfill and with power, purpose, and intent of honoring your spiritual father. It’s nothing more fulfilling in life that to be of his fulfilments through you and to engage a level of love not by what you say or do. But how much of yourself you give in the name of Jesus.

The Gospel of Prosperity: Word of Encouragement

The Gospel of Prosperity

·   2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

·    3 For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.

·          4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.  3 John 1:2-4

·          11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God. 3 John 1:11

In the world today are so many different elements of beliefs, philosophies, strategies, doctrines, denominations and train of thoughts. When there are only two roads that are in this world and it is very simple. One road is the road to death and the other road is everlasting life. It’s like being on a road traveling through a city and as you’re driving on the road to life the road encompasses signs that are easy to read. On this side of the street lines are easily visible and the path is always paved with smooth asphalt. On the other side the street there is a line for miles of traffic. If you look in your rear view you can see that the signs are not that clear to read, there is mud all over them. The street on the other side also has devastating cracks and huge holes that can tear a hole in a wheel. You’re close enough by the cars to really get a clear view of the people in the other cars and see what’s going on in the car. Some are: confused, arguing over doctrine, “casting out devils in the name of Jesus, Paul has preached on”, haughtiness, unthankful, mockers, disbelievers, selfish, prideful people, those who speak of God with their mouths and not from their hearts. They are in the front seat. In the backseat are those who have no idea of the wrath to come and just refuse to look out the window and see. They have well rested upon the two T.V’s with satellite capabilities. The music blasting blasphemies in their ears and the Xbox’s playing video games that promote violence, sex, and death. You see them very clear now…don’t you.

·        What is this road that these people are on?

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:12

“The end therof are the ways of death” is such a summary of this gem from Solomon. If we compare the many messages of prosperity both Christian and world perspective some of them are so close you would think they were twins. However, if we take each message against a mirror that held the standard of the spirit that Jesus and the saints of old boldly stood for. You will see a big difference. To detail the point of saying “Christian messages” because it is evident of the fruit from the trees that many people who pray to Jesus for themselves and not under the stipulations of “Thy (God) will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.” (Matthew 6:10)

In reverent fear of the Lord, I am not a person of heart ever to continuously put down churches or fellow brothers. We all need encouraging. We don’t know when the Lord is coming neither the right to always say the church is a mockery. Because the church stewardship is left to those who carry the manual and mandate of the spirit they preach from just as the world was given to Adam. However, if the mandate is for fellowship that strengthens the bond of love between all people and it is not as pure with the people you talk to everyday, how can you always judge the pulpit?

In perspective, people favor more of the prosperity gospel than the prosperity of the spirit. It is more of a watered-down modernized twist of a Pharisee. In other words, people who take of faith movements that God made back in Moses’s time and believe upon it like the messiah never came. People who still dire for the “Blessing of Abraham,” without reading what the blessings really were for. Abraham was “Blessed” externally because he was a friend of God who listened to what God said. He was given many things because of his relationship with God and never in his testimony do we hear that he was using it for himself. This is where we can see the wisdom of the scripture:

·          22A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. Proverbs 13:22

In two examples of Abraham’s wife being taken by different kings (Pharoah and Abimelech), God allowed judgment on both of their houses in which the spoil they “gave” Abraham was in atonement not only to him but the God he served. Through Abraham they had a visitation of the wrath of God.  Not only were the spoils worthy but expedient for his servants as well because the area that they lived in was in the Middle East. These were places that if you traveled too far from a source of water and vegetation, in due times you would be in serious trouble. By a source of water you can have vegetation for food and feed for the animals. So God’s provisions through the other king’s expenses were expedient for the cause. This blessing was more of a gateway of creating an inheritance for the coming of the “promised seed.” Of whom, that the descendents of Abraham would be established as God said, and Jesus who saves both me and you. Many people forget before they entered into slavery the Hebrew were rich. That leaves me to understand that all blessings are always for the furthering of the Kingdom of God. It is not our own to just do with irrationally to puff up our own drawn away lusts, the very mindset of that is subject to judgment.

Furthermore, there was Solomon who inherited many riches according to the heir ship of his father King David. Solomon was a man with a heart for the people. This is why in his earnest response back to God for God’s gift for him to have whatever he asked. He said “wisdom.” Then God tested him with the fight over two women and a baby and before his kingdom God affirmed him that he had the wisdom to lead. That by faith of what God said and what he(Solomon) manifested in works in the earth this is the reason we have the book of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes. His wealth massed into a person who had the heart to build a temple for the Lord to dwell in. To be righteous and do all for the Lord as his father did. Yet his own testimony after all he had received on this earth, fallen and being stripped of the glory that once compelled the throne in which he sat. Solomon states this:

·          2 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.

·          3 What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?

·          4 One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever. Ecclesiastes 1:2-4 King James Version

Still, both these examples are of the “Old Testament.” Now, let’s go to the New Testament to how Jesus responded to wealth and riches. Let’s begin with the peoples response of their justification in Abraham and the coming of Jesus. The scene is of John the Baptist who has emerged from the wilderness preparing the way for Jesus, he says:

·          7 “…O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

·          8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.” Luke 3:7-8

Pierced to the heart by the words of the John the Baptist, the people respond to the spirit of the Lord in John with the same words many of us use today as we speak unto the Lord.

·        10 And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then? Luke 3:10

John the Baptist says three things that can help us

·          “He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.” Luke 3:11

·          “Exact no more than that which is appointed you.” Luke 3:13

·          Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages. Luke 3:14

Another man met the Lord himself and he said unto him:

·          16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

·          17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

·          18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

·          19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

·          20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

·          21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. Matthew 19:16-21

·          22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

·          23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Now not to underestimate the fact that there were not rich disciples and the sovereignty of God cause he can use anyone. There was a rich disciple of Jesus. However, the difference between this disciple and the other man is that this man did not have the “Love of Money and Possessions” in his heart. He is Joseph of Armithea who after Jesus died asked for the body from Pontius Pilate and purchased the very tomb in which Jesus was buried and then he resurrected. He performed what God gave him the resources for and today his name is all over the world.

Prosperity is not always the key to happiness. With great wealth comes great responsibility and with great responsibilities needs true integrity. There are too many millionaires in the world that can easily get on T.V and promote that the way to solve the same problems any common man has is: Divorce them, cheat on them, drink the problems away, do drugs, buy their love, or harm them to your will. The solutions to life’s problems are not how much money and fame that you have to your name. If that was the case then the Kingdom of Heaven would be easier for an American than many other third world countries stricken with poverty. Do we say that they are not entitled to Jesus as well? Did not the gospel come to both Jew and Gentile?  You can go to a dollar store and purchase the Bible that has the living word of God himself. Or get it from a church for free. In conclusion through scripture I would like to give you a visual of the smooth and worry free path that the light always shines on.

·          28 In the way of righteousness is life: and in the pathway thereof there is no death. Proverbs 12:28

·          6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

·          13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. Matthew 7:13

From these three scriptures I see that the path of life is putting Jesus on the road always before you. To enter into the Kingdom of Heaven and into everlasting life your car (life), your family, your testimony on the earth is to enter through the narrow gates of him. His life, his example, his view, his knowledge, his love not for himself but that all on earth is to give glory to God. We need gas to get to the places we need to go. We need food to live. Yet Jesus lived on the word of God and put not his faith in the donkey or horse. He put his faith in the Father and the Father never failed him. Not once at all. So where are you whom try to believe more in what you can do by ability than by him who gave you the ability? Be on the road that enters into his body, the true body of Christ, where we all will continue to love each other in his glorious light.
